Lights! Camera! Blueberries!

The U.S. Highbush Blueberry Council is asking for growers to participate in National Blueberry Month (July) through mini videos introducing themselves to consumers.

The video initiative is part of USHBC’s 31-day consumer campaign throughout July and will be featured at a June media event showcasing National Blueberry Month activities.

At the event, the USHBC is creating an immersive experience that will allow media representatives to interact with its Blue Crew influencers and learn about the benefits of blueberries. USHBC Chair Shelly Hartmann will participate in a “Meet the Grower” feature, and the videos will be highlighted.

The videos, due by June 10, will be used on the USHBC website and in social media posts throughout July and beyond. Growers are asked to keep the videos to 20 seconds, and focus on one topic, such as:

  • Blueberry facts
  • Favorite recipe/way to enjoy blueberries
  • Favorite memory of blueberries
  • Appreciation of being a grower

For more information, including tips on shooting a video and where to upload it, visit the USHBC website.
