Michigan State University Extension is launching a weekly fruit integrated pest management (IPM) update series later this month, offering Michigan growers timely insights as the 2026 growing season gets underway.

Hosted at MSU Extension’s Southwest Michigan Research and Extension Center (SWMREC), the in-season updates begin March 24 and are held every Tuesday through June 23 from 5–6:30 p.m.

MSU says the sessions will provide a concise, field-focused overview of current growing conditions in Michigan orchards. Each week’s update integrates recent and forecasted weather patterns with pest and disease risk, along with reports on crop maturity, phenology and scouting observations from research and commercial orchard blocks.

The meetings are designed to help growers stay ahead of emerging issues while providing a forum to share insights and ask questions with regional growers and specialists.
