“Nick will be responsible for operating the division sales desk and supervise activities related to the sales desk function by keeping in contact with grower members, processors and truckers,” said Dawn M. Drake, MACMA general manager. “He also will be responsible for selling and delivery of member apples to in-state and out-of-state processors. Nick will be calling on our members throughout the state and will assist with any marketing needs.”

Pitts was honored in a ceremony March 12 upon his retirement after serving at MACMA since 2003. Pitts was named the Michigan Pomesters’ 2019 “Fruit Man of the Year.”
