The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) is accepting nominations for one open seat on the Wisconsin Cherry Board, with submissions due by March 27, 2026.

DATCP plans to conduct the board election from May 11 through June 15, 2026. The grower elected to the board will serve a three-year term beginning July 1, 2026, and ending June 30, 2029.

DATCP will mail nomination forms to eligible cherry growers across the state. To be considered, producers must complete and sign the form and obtain signatures from at least five additional eligible growers other than the nominee.

The Wisconsin Cherry Board represents the Badger State’s cherry growers and oversees programs related to industry promotion, research and market development. Grower participation in the nomination and election process helps guide priorities that affect Wisconsin’s cherry sector.

Completed nomination forms must be postmarked by March 27 and mailed to:

DATCP P.O. Box 8911, Madison, WI 53708-8911.

Growers who have not received a nomination form by March 15, 2026, or who have questions about the process, should contact DATCP by email at DATCPMarketOrders@wisconsin.gov.
