The Illinois Sustainable Ag Partnership (ISAP) is hosting its third biennial Risk Management Conference, a virtual event scheduled for Aug. 1, 8 and 15 from 9-10:30 a.m. each day.

The conference, held on Zoom, will address emerging threats to farm resiliency and how conservation practices can mitigate these risks.

The three-part webinar series includes:

Aug. 1: Pest Management & Herbicide Resistance

Presentations by Dr. Bryan Young, Dr. Jonathon Lundgren, and Illinois farmer Carl Zimmerman will focus on integrated pest management strategies.

Aug. 8: Unpredictable Weather Risks on the Farm

Illinois State Climatologist Trent Ford and Farm Bill Biologist Dallas Glazik will discuss using conservation practices to increase resilience to weather events.

Aug. 15: Sustainability Metrics in the Supply Chain

Representatives from Pepsi and ADM will address changes in sustainability sourcing goals and the supply chain landscape.
