Irrigation efficiencies to benefit from AgTech partnership

An agricultural tech provider is partnering with another tech company to advance precision irrigation for growers globally.

Almanac’s partnership with WiseConn is designed to integrate smart irrigation solutions into Almanac’s platform to help optimize water usage and improve crop yield, according to a news release.

With the collaboration, farmers will now be able to automate and manage irrigation systems via AI-driven tools, enhancing both sustainability and profitability, according to the release.

“This enhanced partnership brings together WiseConn’s industry-leading hardware for irrigation control with Almanac’s AI-powered farm data analytics,” Sumer Johal, CEO of Almanac, said in the release. “Together, we’ll deliver seamless installation, unmatched reliability, and exceptional ‘boots-on-the-ground’ support to farmers worldwide.”

The partnership allows farmers to use the SemiosConnect platform to access WiseConn’s DropControl system, enabling automated irrigation and fertigation scheduling. This setup integrates water usage data with Almanac’s digital tools to facilitate efficient irrigation management. The Almanac Digital Field Solutions team, composed of certified technicians, will install and manage WiseConn systems, ensuring maximum value and ease of use for growers.

“This partnership translates into the only ‘one-stop shop’ for permanent crops in the market,” Guillermo Valenzuela, WiseConn’s vice president of sales and marketing, said in a news release. “WiseConn enables farmers to gain complete control of their water management — automating irrigation and fertigation while providing the best-in-class water management insights with Almanac’s data analytics.”
