Mighty Reds large strawberries burst into the scene

Naturipe Farms is aiming to make the strawberry season sweeter by introducing a deeper red strawberry variety.

The Mighty Reds strawberries are shipped in larger sizes and feature bigger taste and sweetness. The high-quality jumbo berries provide endless eating possibilities for any strawberry lover, according to a news release.

The strawberries are handpicked by Naturipe’s growers in Oxnard, California, Santa Maria, California, Salinas, California, and Watsonville, California.

“These delicious berries are so big, we can barely fit two in our hand,” Jerry Moran, Naturipe’s vice president of sales, said in the release. “The bigger the Naturipe berry, the more there is to slice, share and eat. We are so excited to see the hard work, dedication and commitment of our growers pay-off in such a big way. Retailers may need to build bigger shelves to hold these ginormous berries and shoppers should get ready for big flavor in these sweet and juicy jumbo berries.”

Mighty Reds will be on full display in a new single-layer 20-ounce clamshell. Sustainable packaging, with wash away labels, was created to hold up to 15 red and delicious berries. The premium strawberries will be available for a limited time, according to the release.

The jumbo berries join Naturipe’s proprietary large blueberries, the Mighty Blues. Both huge berries are vibrant in color and pack a massive burst of flavor that will satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth, according to the release.
