For the 10th consecutive year, Michigan Apple Committee (MAC) will be a sponsor of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. The partnership began with the 2016 event.
The 47th running of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 12. The marathon is set to see more than 53,000 participants and exceed a million spectators.

“We’re excited to celebrate this incredible milestone with Michigan Apple,” Carey Pinkowski, Bank of America Chicago Marathon executive race director, said in a news release. “For the last ten years, Michigan Apple has provided Bank of America Chicago Marathon finishers the opportunity to refuel post-race with a sustainably produced and locally sourced healthy treat.”
In addition to race day, MAC will also exhibit at the Abbott Health & Fitness Expo in the days leading up to the race.
Based in Lansing, Michigan, the Michigan Apple Committee is a grower-funded nonprofit organization devoted to marketing, education and research activities to distinguish the Michigan Apple and encourage its consumption in Michigan and around the world.
