Gowan’s EcoSwing Botanical Fungicide listed in recently added FRAC group

Gowan USA’s EcoSwing Botanical Fungicide has been listed by the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee as a group BM01 fungicide.

The BM group is a recent addition to the Fungicide Resistance Action Committee (FRAC) code list and represents “biologicals with multiple modes of action” and is “used for agents from biological origin showing multiple mechanisms of action.”

According to a news release, the BM01 category specifically represents products made from plant extracts. These products are considered to have a low risk of resistance due to their multiple modes of action against pathogens.

EcoSwing Botanical Fungicide is the latest OMRI-listed tool offered to growers from Gowan USA. Made with proprietary plant extracts from the Swinglea glutinosa tree, EcoSwing offers reliable efficacy against several key pathogens across a variety of crops including stone fruit, grapes, strawberries, pome fruit and many others.

EcoSwing also provides an additional mode of action to disease management programs to assist growers in their stewardship of conventional chemistries.
EcoSwing is EPA tolerance exempt and has a 4 hour REI and a 0 day PHI.  A California registration is currently pending.
