USDA AMS announces Section 32 purchases of frozen, dried highbush blueberries

The USDA Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) has issued a solicitation for the procurement of frozen highbush blueberries under the authority of Section 32, formerly known as the “bonus buy” program, for use in the National School Lunch Program and other federal food and nutrition assistance programs. An additional solicitation for the procurement of dried highbush blueberries was announced a day later.

Offers for frozen highbush blueberries are due by May 11, 2020, and acceptances will be announced by midnight, May 22, 2020. Deliveries are to be made between July 1, 2020, and August 31, 2020. Product produced in 2019 will be accepted. 

Offers for dried highbush blueberries are due by May 21, 2020, and acceptances will be announced by midnight, June 10, 2020. Deliveries are to be made between August 1, 2020, and September 15, 2020.
