Ohio area fruit growers ‘were just grazed’ by damaging freeze

After assessing the damage to their crops following Monday night’s deep-freeze temperatures, area growers are noting that the losses could have been much worse.

The low temperatures late Monday and pre-dawn Tuesday fell well into the 20s with a couple of upper teens also being recorded by crop-field-based thermometers. The News Herald
