Labor shortage hits strawberry farmers

California farmers are experiencing a significant shortage of harvest labor.

According to the California Farm Bureau Federation, berry farmers have been hit the worst. Some strawberry farmers say this year, they had to let some crops go for the first time ever because they had no one to pick it.

Officials say the main reason behind the shortage could be a significant decrease of Mexican immigrants, who are usually the ones who work the fields. KSFN-TV
