Fruit Growers News, Vegetable Growers News launch 40 Under 40 Awards

Fruit Growers News and Vegetable Growers News have launched the Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under 40 Awards, a new industry-wide honor recognizing the next generation of agriculture industry leadership. Celebrating professionals under the age of 40 demonstrating strong leadership qualities, innovative thinking and commitment to industry advancement, the awards will spotlight emerging talent and those who are setting the pace for the future.

“The announcement of this new awards program has been met with great anticipation and support by the entire industry,” said Matthew J. McCallum, CEO of Great American Media Services and publisher of Fruit Growers News and Vegetable Growers News. “We’re excited to introduce a new initiative that will honor this great industry’s next generation, while at the same time bringing everyone together in celebration of an incredibly promising future.”

Eligible candidates for the Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under 40 Awards include growers, farm marketers, shippers/packers, Extension agents, researchers, crop consultants/advisors, manufacturers/suppliers, processors, trade show management, association leaders and government agencies. Nominees must be
under the age of 40 as of March 1, 2018.
