Longtime Michigan Extension agent Mike Thomas dies

T. Mike Thomas, 79, of Paw Paw, Michigan, died Dec. 10, in Belmont, Michigan.

He was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, on Sept. 30, 1939, son of Theodore Henry Thomas and Anna Marie Thomas.

Thomas  graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) and went on to Ohio State University to graduate with a master’s degree in horticulture.

He was the MSU Cooperative Extension Service horticultural agent for southwest Michigan for 35 years in Paw Paw.

He served and supported all farmers of southwest Michigan and was a worldwide agricultural specialist after his retirement.
