Marrone gears up for growth with addition of sales and marketing veterans

Marrone Bio Innovations Inc. (NASDAQ: MBII), a sustainable bioprotection and plant health solutions company, announced April 21 the addition of Tim Knight, senior director of sales and account management and Angela Keyser, senior strategic marketing communications manager, to the North American commercial team.

Knight and Keyser join MBI as it experiences double-digit growth and enters into the bio-nutrient market.

“This year will be an exciting time as we build on our 2019 successes,” said Kevin Hammill, chief commercial officer. “Tim brings the experience and leadership skills MBI requires as we expand into new segments of the agriculture industry. Angela provides a valuable strategic approach to integrated marketing communications that will allow us to enhance our relationships with customers and stakeholders.”

Knight is a graduate of Ohio State University and has more than 30 years of executive sales, marketing and business development experience. In his most recent role as U.S. general manager for Acadian Plant Health, a bio-tech manufacturer of agriculture solutions, Knight doubled sales in five years by transforming the go-to-market strategy and empowering a struggling salesforce. Knight also has held sales leadership roles with Purfresh and BASF Corp.

Keyser, a graduate of Cornell University, brings with her 17 years of marketing communications experience in the food and agriculture industries. Formerly the Vice President of Marketing and Communications for High Quality Organics, a global organic ingredient company, Keyser helped achieve double-digit sales growth for seven consecutive years. She also has held marketing and public relations leadership positions at the Iowa Soybean Association, the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association and the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection.

MBI’s currently available commercial products are Regalia, Stargus, Grandevo, Venerate, Majestene, Haven and Amplitude, Pacesetter, Zelto, Jet Oxide and Jet Ag and Zequanox, with a bioherbicide and biofumigant in the company’s product pipeline.
