Jody Gomez joins Certis USA as Southwest regional manager

Industry veteran Jody Gomez has joined the team of Columbia, Maryland-based Certis USA sales professionals, the biopesticide company announced Feb. 16. Gomez will be responsible for the sales and marketing of the company’s extensive product line in the southwest territory of the United States.

“Jody’s territory is a strong area where producers and our channel partners realize the value that biologicals can have in their IPM programs,” Scott Peterson, National Sales Director, US Ag, said in a news release “We are confident that his 20+ years of sales experience will help Jody enhance these relationships and build growth of our portfolio of biological solutions.”

Gomez joins Certis from Actagro, manufacturer and developer of plant health and soil solutions. While at Actagro, Gomez, a certified crops consultant, successfully developed and grew strategic sales with customers in the southwest area of the US. Prior to Actagro, Gomez served as a sales agronomist for Agro-Culture Liquid Fertilizer and as a sales representative for Simplot Soilbuilders.

“Since beginning my agricultural career in 1999, I have been dedicated to building strong sales relationships in the industry, and I am eager to serve both existing and new customers in the rapidly growing field of biologicals with the industry leader, Certis,” said Gomez. “I am excited for the opportunity to continue the growth of biologicals with organic and conventional growers in my territory.”
