Towles is owner/operator of Sandy Point Produce, and farms 15 beautiful acres on Edisto Island, SC. He raises organic fruits and vegetables for distribution through his hybrid-CSA, The Twenty Bag, in Charleston, SC. This “non-committal” style CSA was the first of its kind in the region and allows a growing email subscription list to shop weekly without having to pay up front for a whole season. He is an advocate for the continuance of agriculture on the Sea Islands of SC, children’s healthy eating, and fresh cooking in general. Towles serves on the Charleston County Board for Farm Bureau as well as their statewide Diversified Ag Committee.
