Effects of summer heat event on PNW tree fruit session topic

The Okanagan Horticultural Advisor’s Group and British Columbia (BC) Fruit Growers’ Association are sponsoring an upcoming seminar and discussion series  “Feeling the Heat: Effects of the Summer Heat Event on Tree Fruit in the Pacific Northwest (PNW).

Join a morning session of talks by research experts from British Columbia, Oregon and Washington state related to tree fruit production, fruit quality and the heat event that affected the Pacific Northwest recently. Following this in the afternoon is a panel discussion on impacts by prominent growers and packers, who will discuss what they saw from their perspectives, and then engage in discussion groups on encouraging and influencing direction of future collaboration throughout the Pacific Northwest for tree fruit adaptation to a changing climate!
