WAEF opens scholarship application period

The Washington Apple Education Foundation (WAEF) will award approximately $850,000 in new and renewing scholarships this spring.  The deadline for new applicants to submit scholarship applications to WAEF is March 1st.

Qualified applicants for WAEF scholarships have a tie to the tree fruit industry. WAEF expects to award scholarships to approximately 200 students for the 2016-2017 school year.

Two separate applications are available to college-bound and college enrolled applicants.  Applicants pursuing a technical/vocational education will utilize the WAEF Vocation Scholarship Application.  Students pursuing two- and four-year degrees will utilize the WAEF Universal Scholarship Application.

Scholarships awarded through WAEF may be used by students at accredited trade/technical schools, two-year and four-year public and private colleges and universities. All applications must be completed and submitted online.  Printed forms are not available.
