Nov 4, 2025Cherry Industry Administrative Board seeks board members
The Cherry Industry Administrative Board (CIAB) is seeking nominations for grower members and at-large members.
The CIAB is also seeking a public member and a public alternate. Member terms run from 2026 through 2027, 2028 and 2029.
Nomination forms were emailed to growers on Oct. 23. Nominations are due back to the CIAB no later than 5 p.m. EST on Nov. 6, 2025.

As a public representative on the board, that board member is expected to attend CIAB board meetings. Also, the public representative should possess knowledge of the tart cherry industry, according to a news release.
The representative has an obligation to serve on the subcommittee for the review of applications for exemption per CFR §930.162(d). The public member and alternate are a 3-year term of office beginning June 1, 2026.
Individuals interested in serving as CIAB’s public member or public alternate are encouraged to submit a resume to Heather Weber, CIAB’s vice president of operations, via email at hweber@cherryboard.org by Nov. 21.

Established in 1997, the East Lansing, Michigan, CIAB is the administrative arm of the Federal Marketing Order for U.S. tart cherries. Made up of growers and processors in seven U.S. states including Michigan, Utah, Oregon, Washington, New York, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania, the CIAB educates consumers about the taste and benefits of consuming tart cherries.
