Haak works on the growing and packing of apples, pears and cherries located in Yakima, Washington. He graduated from Calvin College in Michigan with degrees in business and economics. He also took on the management position of Haak Farms in 2013. He serves on the board of the local irrigation district. Haak and his wife, Michelle, have two children: Weston (4) and Payton (2).
