Fruit Growers News recognized the Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under 40 Award Class of 2024 during a December 10 reception at the Great Lakes Fruit, Vegetable & Farm Market EXPO in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Organizers honored award recipients on the GLEXPO’s Valent Trade Show stage. The annual program celebrates individuals who are the next generation of leaders and “represent the best in the industry.”

The Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under 40 Program highlights professionals who are advancing the industry through leadership and innovation. Organizers emphasized, “We selected the recipients because they are truly making positive marks in the fruit and vegetable industry.”

Nominations now open for 2025
Honor the next generation of leaders by submitting a nomination for the 2025 Fruit + Vegetable 40 Under 40 class. Now in its 10th year, the awards will recognize 40 outstanding individuals making their marks across the industry. Members can nominate men and women from all segments who demonstrate involvement, innovation and commitment. The awards are free to enter, and self-nominations are accepted.
Eligibility criteria
Candidates must:
- Be under the age of 40 (as of June 10, 2025)
- Be currently employed within the fruit and vegetable industry
- Demonstrate leadership qualities
- Strive to propel the industry forward through involvement and innovation
Previously nominated individuals who did not make the final 40 may nominate themselves again this year.

- Crop consultants/advisors
- Manufacturers/suppliers
- Processors
- Trade show management
- Association leaders
