International Agri-Center prepares for 49th annual World Ag Expo

World Ag Expo will kick off its 49th annual show on Tuesday, Feb. 9 in Tulare, California. Gates open at the International Agri-Center at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, and the playing of the National Anthem is expected shortly after.

World Ag Expo features more than 1,500 exhibitors who display agricultural technology and equipment on 2.6 million square feet of exhibit space. An estimated average of 100,000 individuals attend the show each year to learn about the latest advances in agriculture, the organization said. At the 2015 World Ag Expo, 49 U.S. states and 49 countries were represented.

A total of 49 seminars will be offered in dairy, irrigation, international trade, and general agriculture categories. New this year, World Ag Expo will have seminars in apiology, as well as mentorship for women in agriculture. Seminars will be presented by professionals in the industry.

Live webcams of World Ag Expo’s show grounds can be viewed online in February on the Expo website’s webcam page. Ten cameras on the grounds offer views of activity on the grounds, including exhibitors, attendees and volunteers.

World Ag Expo attendees can get the latest news, information and updates about the show by downloading the new 2016 mobile app. The free app provides mobile access to the schedule of events, an exhibitor directory, map of the show grounds and other visitor resources. The app will be available in February and can be downloaded from your app store by searching for “World Ag Expo 2016”.
