STK appoints marketing director, VP for HR

Bio-ag technology firm STK (Stockton) recently announced two major hires.

Nilly Maik has joined the company as director of marketing.

Prior to joining STK, she served as Director of Corporate Marketing for IDE Technologies, where she led the company’s international marketing activity, with an emphasis on implementing a digital strategy. Maik also successfully led the launch of the Carlsbad desalination plant in California,  the largest facility of its kind in the Western Hemisphere, and previously established the marketing communications department at Hazera Genetic in Israel.

STK CEO Guy Elitzur said in a news release that Malik will lead all aspects of marketing, from marketing strategy to the end-user level.

Maik holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and management from the College of Management, Tel Aviv, an MBA in Marketing from Hofstra University in New York, and a diploma in digital analytics from the University of British Columbia in Canada.

Iris Mordechai

Iris Mordechai has joined the company as vice president of human resources.

In this role, she will oversee the development and execution of STK’s human resources strategy; retaining top talents; supporting the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, to ensure STK’s unique values and culture will continue to be promoted.

“She is going to be an added value to our company’s initiatives,” Elitzur said. “Iris brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to this role and we believe she will continue to strengthen our commitment to become an employer of choice in the industry.”

Iris brings to STK over 15 years of experience in human resources management and organizational development. Her previous positions include senior director of human resources at Teva Pharmaceutical Industries; Human Resources Director at Orbotech; and Human Resources Manager in the Global Product Development Division at Amdocs. Iris holds a master’s degree in organizational behavior from the faculty of management in Tel Aviv University.

“I am excited to be part of a highly driven, close-knit professional team, focused on creative solutions to protect the food we all eat,” Mordechai said. “I look forward to STK’s growth and contributing to it by supporting to excel the company’s goals from a human resources perspective.”

Founded in 1994, STK is a bio-ag technology company, providing botanical-based solutions, to enhance the safety, yield and quality of crops.
