Experimental orchard draws big crowd for Fruit Field Day

Fruit growers from across the state made their way to Parma Tuesday for the 15th Annual Fruit Field Day. It’s a chance for growers to see new varieties of fruit, and the best way for them to grow.

The University of Idaho’s Parma Research and Extension Center’s pomology orchard and vineyard is a classroom without walls or a ceiling. It’s a classroom that’s all about the rows.

"This is nice, look how big this is, beautiful, beautiful peaches," said Fontella Houk as she admired the fruit filled trees. KTVB.com
