Soil health, its role in agricultural production and environmental resilience to climate change will be a focus of SoilCon 2023.
The free virtual conference will be from 8 a.m. to noon Pacific on Feb. 14 and Feb. 15. The event is presented by the Washington State Soil Health Initiative, with support from Western Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education. Attendance is free, but registration is required.
The conference will feature the latest research, and how to put it into practice. SoilCon will explain what metrics are used to assess soil health, how they may change by production system and region, and management practices to support a resilient soil system.
Topics will be relevant to agriculture and natural resource professionals, growers, consultants, university faculty and students, and interested members of the public, according to a news release.
