Bee product health tech introduced

Terra Vera, an agtech company, has introduced a product designed to improve bee health.

The ApiVera initiative comes in response to the ongoing decline in bee populations, a major concern for growers of many fruit crops, including apples, berries and almonds, as well as vegetables that depend on bee pollination.

ApiVera will offer bee-specific chemistries and systems designed to combat parasites and stressors that threaten bee colonies. The new products, based on Terra Vera’s biodegradable, amino acid-based technology, are non-toxic to humans, animals, and the environment. One of the initial offerings is a portable system suitable for small commercial beekeeping operations.
