GROPRO earns OMRI-listing providing biologicals portfolio to organic fruit growers

The importance of organic production in the USA continues to rise with total sales of organic products in 2019 hitting $55 billion. Currently, it’s the biggest global market for organic products (# 2 is Germany and #3 is France).

To meet this growing market demand GROPRO Corp. a USA based producer and supplier of bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers has been approved for sixOMRI (Organic Materials Review Institute) listed materials. With these certifications GROPRO brings a wide and effective portfolio into the organic agricultural market.

According to data from the Organic Trade Association, organic fruit and vegetable sales in 2019 were up by about 5 % (to the level of $18 bln) and organic fruits and vegetables (fresh, frozen, canned, and dried) now account for about 15 % of the fruits & vegetables market in this country. As for regions – California remains a leader in the number of organic farms. While some other states in the South show an increase in organic farming areas.

According to a news release, with GROPRO materials focusing on nematicide (product Vigilance), fungicides (bio fungicide Zayin), sporicide/bacteriacide (Reckoning), insecticides (bio insecticide Wrath), mosquitos (Skeeter), gastropods (Stomp), farmers have products that will provide active control and residual actions. This line will provide growers with the efficacy that they have been wanting in an organic IPM program. These offerings are just the start as GROPRO is working on certifying its T&O materials coming to the market and have a large pipeline of innovative materials in the works that will continue to push the company to the forefront of the bio-pesticide industry.

Organic Materials Review Institute (OMRI) is a nonprofit organization that provides an independent review of products, such as fertilizers, pest controls and livestock health care products that are intended for use in certified organic production/processing. Products accepted by the organization are then OMRI Listed® and appear on the OMRI Products Lists©.

“We are excited to provide organic farmers with our unique and effective portfolio of new-generation bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers, ensuring they can develop their important businesses successfully,” said James Ronan, CEO of GROPRO.
