Ryan is a sixth generation fruit grower from Conklin, Michigan. After high school, he attended Michigan State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Agri-business Management. While he was at MSU, he also worked in the post-harvest research lab under Dr. Beaudry, with a main focus pertaining to Honeycrisp storage research. After graduation, Ryan went back to the family farm primarily focusing on apple production and storage.
